Delete your account

Last updated 22 July 2026

You can ask us to delete your Ledger account at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed.

How to request it

Email developer@l3dger.xyz with the subject Delete my Ledger account, from any address, including:

We reply to confirm, and complete the deletion within 30 days.

You can also start the request from inside the app, under your account → Delete my account.

We may ask you to confirm from the registered number before deleting. That is deliberate: an account holds a record of money other people believe they are owed, and deleting one on an unverified request would let somebody erase a debt that isn't theirs.

What is deleted

What is kept, and why

Entries recorded between you and someone else are not deleted. They are anonymised — detached from your name, number and user ID — and the amounts remain.

This is the one thing we cannot simply erase. A debt has two sides. An entry saying you were owed $40 is equally a record that somebody else owes $40, and their balance is built by recalculating every entry they are part of. Deleting your half would silently change what a different person owes, without their knowledge or consent.

So the money stays and the identity goes. After deletion nothing in the remaining records identifies you.

If you would like the entries themselves removed as well, settle or negate them in the app first — negating an entry stops it counting toward anyone's balance — and then request deletion.

Retention

Account details are removed within 30 days of a confirmed request, and are not retained in backups beyond that period. Anonymised entries are kept for as long as the other party's account exists.
